The Housing Authority of the City of Loveland’s (HACOL) Quality of Life (QOL) Team strives to enhance the quality of life for HACOL residents by providing activities and events that develop pride and a sense of community.
The QOL Team, consisting of HACOL employees, sponsors several annual events held throughout the year. Popular among the families are the Summer and Winter break Family Swim Parties. On November 11, veteran residents are recognized for their service at the annual Veteran’s Day Commemorative Ceremony. Each summer the Maintenance Department coordinates a large item Trash Pick-up Day for residents convenience.
Resident gardeners delight in competing in the “Prettiest” Flowers Contest for gift awards. Outstanding residents are recognized by being awarded The HACOL Tenant Appreciation trophy, along with other gifts.
Another QOL event consists of the Scholarship Program which provides residents with the opportunity to apply for an educational scholarship.
To support each Community Resident Council, QOL Team members assist to organize Councils and regularly attend Resident Council meetings. Members pitch in to flip burgers and pass out sodas for the exceedingly popular Summer BBQ’s held at many of the properties.
