Mirasol Senior Community is a 25 acre site in southeast Loveland beginning development by the Housing Authority of the City of Loveland as a 55 plus residential community with both rental and homeownership options. Mirasol is an independent living community, the first of it's kind for Loveland combining affordable and market rate units solely targeted to adults age 55 plus.

We recently broken ground and are in the processes of putting in the infrastructure and will begin with the vertical construction of the apartment building and clubhouse in the very near future, as well as the construction of the for rental duplex units and for sale paired homes. We should have the rental duplex's and for sale units starting to become available after the first of the year. The apartment building should be complete around April 2007.

The development has been broken up into two phase's with phase one consisting of 49 apartments, 31 for rent duplex's and 24 for sale units. We intended on beginning phase II in approximately 2 years and the market will determine if we build more rentals or more home ownership units in that phase.

The apartment complex is a tax credit development with rents targeted to folks earning 30, 40 and 50% of the area median income (see chart for rents and income requirements)

The for rent duplex units will have a combination of market rents and subsidized rents (see chart for details) . The for sale homes will consist of 7 income qualified reduced cost homes and 17 market rate priced homes.

Mirasol will have a 5000 sq. ft. Event Center with a multitude of services and activities available to the community. The Event Center is the heart of the neighborhood, there will always be something going on. You can get involved and take part in one of our regularly scheduled social events or spend a peaceful day in the community garden. Chat with fellow residents at the coffee bar or wake up with an early morning exercise class in our fitness center. The Event Center will also house a beauty salon and business center with copy and fax machines as well as computers for internet access.
